"My first and last love has always been landscapes. Portraying scenes near my home in central Texas or the mountain ranges and vast open spaces of west Texas, Arizona and New Mexico have become a continuing inspiration for me. I also am drawn to weather conditions such as fog or thunder storms that elicit an emotional response for me as well as the viewer. Recently I have begun working on paintings of rural roads as a theme. I am intrigued with the idea of capturing the feelings of wanderlust and internal searching that they portray."    .  .  .
